West Point Crab Carnival
October 4 - 4, 2014 Always the first weekend in October. The annual West Point Crab Carnival promises more wonderful hometown family fun for locals, ex-locals, wannabe-locals and visitors from all over Virginia and from around the country! Enjoy seeing old friends, eating great food, listening to excellent tunes, playing fun games, and browsing arts, crafts, antiques and merchant booths to your heart's content. Of course there is a crab parade! This is our favorite event of the year! When you come don’t forget to try the crab cakes, fried crabs, softshell crabs, crab soup, steamed crabs, and of course crab fritters. Dont forget to see us at our booth in front of the Post Office right next to our alpacas.

We added another three acres this Sunday to the alpacas. It was a lot of work getting the stumps up and the soil ph correct. After seeding and spraying with fish the grass came up great and the alpacas love it.
